Gordian III became Emperor at the age of 13.  His praetorian commander Philip  the Arab used his position to undermine Gordian's standing with his troops.  In 244 A.D. he succeeded, and Gordian III, the boy emperor, was killed at the age of 19. Philip the Arab then became Emperor.
Philip II Macedonian
united Greek cities under a treaty known as the League of Corinth.
PHILIP married OLYMPIAS, the sister of the King of Epirus. In 356 B.C. their son ALEXANDER was born, followed the next year by a daughter, CLEOPATRA.
