| After the death of his father Constantius I, Constantine I the Great was proclaimed Emperor by his father's army. In A.D. 307 Constantine received the title of Augustus. At that time there were six men with the title Augustus: Galerius, Maximianus, Licinius, Maximinus Daia, Maxentius and Constantine. |
